I felt quite honored to capture Jerald and Emily’s special day for them! It was a cold, but sunny January day, and their fun-loving dispositions made it a lovely day for all their family and friends! The evergreens near Montgomery, Indiana worked perfect as a gorgeous backdrop for portraits, and the warm sunshine filtering though the pines added an extra glow to their already glowing spirits!
I’ve known Emily’s mother all my life, and we even played together as children. Now Emily’s family babysits for my little son. I’m still trying to figure out if I should start feeling old, since my friends’ kids are now getting married! 😊 I had met Jerald’s family when I photographed his brother Chris’s (and Hannah) wedding a couple years ago, so it felt extra special to connect with them again!
One of the things I really enjoyed about Jerald and Emily’s day was the time they put into making everything so beautiful! They had a beautiful pergola/frame in the church decorated with large arrangements of flowers. Their long wooden bridal party table (I think it was actually three, but it looked like one) was decorated very nicely with evergreens and candles. There were large vases of flowers scattered across the guest tables along with lots of candles and more evergreens. It was a beautiful winter wedding indeed!
