It was such a beautiful evening for Kirk and Krislyn’s engagement session! I met them about a year ago in the bridal party of their friends’ wedding (which I photographed), and I loved connecting with them again!

With all the wind and cold weather we’ve been having this spring, it felt so wonderful to enjoy a warm evening even with the wind. Since the West Baden Springs hotel garden is sort of “down”, we felt somewhat sheltered from the strong winds. Thankfully not quite all the blooms succumbed to the freezing March weather, and we were able to enjoy them for these photos.

I absolutely loved Kirk & Krislyn’s outfit choices, and was delighted that Krislyn included a hat for some of the photos! Their soft, spring-like colors went well with the blooms, which helped create these dreamy photographs along with the diffused light from the sun. I loved Kirk’s humor and Krislyn’s pragmatic outlook on life! Krislyn so thoughtfully brought me a coke, and if you’ve been following me for any length of time, you can imagine how delighted I must have been! 🙂
