Nick and Tanysha chose to drive to Jasper, IN for their engagement session, and I think it was a super good choice! Nick is a hunter and Tanysha loves the paths, trails, and old things, so the landscape at Parklands and the Millhouse was a perfect fit for them! It was one of those days when the sun kept popping through the clouds and then hiding again. Although it is harder to shoot during changing light like this, we were thankful for both! The bridge works best when it’s cloudy, and we were able to get that in first. We then had some of that glowy goodness from the sun later on!
I felt quite honored to capture Nick & Tanysha’s engagement session. I’ve met Nick a number of times since he’s been a groomsman in various other weddings I’ve had the privilege of shooting, and I’m excited that he gets to celebrate his own wedding now! 😊 Tanysha’s mother contacted me for family photos last autumn, and I’ve so enjoyed learning to know Tanysha and her family!
Tanysha has a quiet demeanor about her, and it pairs beautifully with Nick’s kind, talkative disposition! Tanysha enjoys cooking and baking, so I think with Nick’s hunting skills, they will have good food all their lives! And maybe they will even share it with their friends! 😊
Tanysha chose two soft colors and one brighter color for her outfit choices, and paired them with beautiful neutral colors for Nick. Soft colors are some of my favorite colors, but I also enjoy a pop of color occasionally, and love that Tanysha does too! Even though it can feel a little unhandy to change outfits during a session, it’s always worth it for beautiful photos like these!
Congratulations, Nick & Tanysha! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these for you! I’m looking forward to your July wedding!
