I’m always amazed at the preciousness of newborns. Maybe it’s their innocence, or their soft skin that gives me that sense of wonder when holding them. Maybe it’s simply their cute little heads that I adore. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s because they don’t know what a troubled world they have just entered. Whatever the case, they make me feel like holding them in my arms and just keeping them there forever! They are at this stage for such a short time, and I’m so glad I had the privilege of capturing this sweet stage for Benson and his family. They came to my house, and it was warm enough (well, it is July!:) ) to go outside for some of the pictures. I always wanted to do a session here in my tree-lined driveway with the tall corn, and finally got to do just that. These photos give you a “picture” of what southern (specifically Odon) Indiana is like in the country in the middle of summer.
Jeremy & Valerie are now parents to two sons, Dre and little Benson. I must say they are some of the calmest parents I have ever met! They love their two sons dearly, and taking pictures with two was not a big deal to them at all! Jeremy did so well with Dre, and managed to get him to laugh for some of the photos! Benson just wanted to be cuddled and go to sleep in his mommy and daddy’s arms. He didn’t want to be disturbed to change clothes or put on different wraps. I must say, I don’t really blame him! 🙂 Congratulations, Jeremy and Valerie! May you always sense the Lord’s direction as you teach your little boys how to deal with the real world!
